As part of the latest collaboration between Miles Silvas and Adidas, these 3ST.003 Shoes celebrate the pro skater’s hometown and current residence in Sacramento, CA. The uppers follow a clear blue colour scheme - inspired by the Sacramento Kings basketball team - and utilise premium suede, textile and lightweight foam. Accents of collegiate navy has been added onto the heel and fold over tongue which presents Silvas’ tattoos: with one side reading ‘Plaboys’ and the other ‘Fofa’ - his two skate crews. When turned over the they reveal a suede section with the classic Adidas tre-foil logo in black. Extra customisation has been added through the sockliner which includes a photographic print of the Sac Tower Bridge, further celebrating the Californian capital. In addition golden foil ‘Silvas’ branding has been added to the outer sections.
As for performance, alongside reinforced uppers this style includes a lightweight EVA midsoles and a combination of geoflex herringbone on the outsole which provides a high level of grip. The fabric tongue and ankle section supplies flexible softness underneath a tough outer section. Cotton laces allow for a secure fastening and a striped heel tab above a logo design panel completes the back of the design.
Having grown up in Sacramento, CA Miles Silvas honored his hometown in October 2018 with a public art show and party timed around the launch of this new Silvas collaborative shoe design. Themed around graffiti and tattoos, a mixture of paintings, sculpture and photographs from local creatives were on show, highlighting his love for the community and his desire to highlight local talent. Known for his smooth style, this is the sixth Miles Silvas x Adidas collaboration.
